Spencerport High School Senior Madeline Kopp signed her official letter of intent to attend Duke University on a half track and field and half academic scholarship.
Kopp has many accomplishments include:
- Girls Track and Field Class A Section V 2012 Championship in the 100m, 200m, and 400m;
- First Place Section V 2012 State Qualifier Division 1 in the 200m and 400m
- Section V Girls Indoor Track and Field record holder for 400m (56.64) on 3/10/12
- 2012 MCPSAC Championship in the 100m, 200m, and 400m
- All Greater Rochester First (1st) Team Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field in 2011 and 2012
- Fr Wesley Memorial Award: Outstanding Competitor Indoor Meet of Champions 2012
- Recipient of the Devin Snyder Memorial Outstanding Athlete Award for Class A in 2012
- Girls Track MVP at the Hurley-Quinney Meet 2013
- Fourth (4th) in NYS Championships 400m Outdoor Track & Field 2011
- ?Fourth (4th) place All-American in 400m National Jr. Olympics July 2011 Fourth (4th) in NYS? Championships 300m Indoor Track & Field 2012
- Tenth (10th) place overall in 400m National Jr. Olympics 2012
Kopp carries a 3.92 GPA, is a member of National Honor Society, Black Scholar/Urban League of Rochester, Service Club and Recycling Club. She is a four year varsity letter winner in Indoor Track & Field and will earn her fourth varsity letter in outdoor track & field this spring. She has also been manager of the varsity girls soccer team the past two seasons.
Outside of school Kopp participates with the youth group at St. John the Evangelist Church, and is a member of the Rochester Running Rebels Track Club.
Her parents are Tom and Teri Kopp.
