Argus buys DeWitt to expand energy data-reporting

? Energy price-reporting firm Argus says it's buying DeWitt & Co. Inc. to expand its services into the petrochemicals industry.

In announcing the deal Sunday, Argus declined to disclose terms.

DeWitt sells reports on pricing in several parts of the petrochemical business including olefins, methanol and MTBE, a gasoline additive.
